Twin Springs Gypsy Cobs

The Girls of Twin Springs

Clononeen Annabelle (Imp UK)

DOB: January 2006

Black tobiano purebred gypsy cob mare, imported into New Zealand 2009 by Westfield Stud. We are extremely lucky to have the beautiful Clononeen Annabelle (Bella) join our family this year, she has been successfully competed inhand and under saddle with multiple Champions and Supreme Champions in the cob ring, the gypsy cob ring and pinto ring. Not to mention she was involved in the filming of the Hobbit here in NZ.

Bella produced three beautiful foals for Westfield Stud before joining us, Westfield Sapphire (By Clononeen 007) who herself has been very successfully shown inhand, being Supreme Champion as a two year old at the SI Premier Show. Westfield Belle (By John Brodie) who has also been successful inhand winning several Champions, and Westfield Paris (Fully sister to Belle) who we are very lucky to own as well.

Bella will be out and about at Pony Club next season and various outings and is to be my eldest daughters riding pony, we are very proud and lucky to have her.

Westfield Paris

Clononeen Annabelle x John Brodie

DOB: 19 September 2014

Black tobiano purebred gypsy cob filly. Paris is a very attractive filly, conformationally correct, straight movement and has a delightful attitude. She should mature around 14.1hh

Paris is a half sister to Westfield Sapphire (By Clononeen 007 out of Clononeen Annabelle) who herself has been very successfully shown inhand being Supreme Champion as a two year old at the SI Premier Show, and also a full sister to Westfield Belle who has also been shown for Champions inhand.

Paris has one of the most successful showing and performance families of any purebred foal in New Zealand.

Gallifray's Luti (Imp UK)

DOB: January 2005

Black tobiano purebred gypsy cob mare. Luti joined our family late 2014, she is an exceptional mare who stands at 13.1hh and is in my mind the best kids pony ever!

She is truly a special member of our family here at Twin Springs, everyone who meets her can't but fall in love with not only her gorgeous looks, but her caring and gentle nature, she's the pony that all kids dream of.

Luti through out her life has been on many adventures and she certainly has done it all. Luti was brought by Debroah Nash from the famous Abbleby fair in the UK 2007 and later that year imported to New Zealand, she's been a movie star in 'The Hobbit' (along with Annabelle), shown inhand and ridden and most of all been a fantastic mum to several foals over the years who have done exceptionally well inhand. Luti is mum to our Toby and Clara, Clara who was our first ever gypsy cob and paved our way to what is now our future, so having Luti join us is a dream come true. Luti will be spending the coming season as one of our ridden ponies here at Twin Springs and she will be out and about at pony club, showing and on new adventures as she teaches our children to ride.

Gallifray Clara

Gallifray Luti x Valentino (dec)

DOB: 12 August 2013

Black purebred gypsy cob filly. Clara is a striking example of what a gypsy cob should be, she is conformationally correct, has buckets of silky straight feather and a lovely straight movement. Clara has a special presences about her and an amazing temperament that I'm sure she has inherited from both her Dam and Sire. Clara is expected to mature around 13hh.

Clara on her very first showing debut at Franklin A&P Show won Champion Purebred gypsy cob inhand and has finished the 2014/15 season being award the overall Versatility Cob of the year for 2015 and North Island champion by the NZGCA.

Clara was our very first purebred gypsy cob and shares a very special bond with our youngest daughter Aria who is the same age. Aria's first word in fact was 'Clara' and they are near inseparable. We look forward to these two growing up together and their first outing under saddle in a few years to come.

We are looking forward to the coming season with Clara as we get her out and about to more events.
